This month sees the opening of another brand new micropub & bottle shop, The Biergarten. We previously mentioned Franzi Florack’s plans of converting the empty premises, located in Milton Keynes, which is the first micropub in Milton Keynes.
We are pleased to announce that Franzi managed to achieve her target date of opening in time for the May Day bank holiday weekend.
Franzi Florack said: “When my partner and I moved to MK last year, we were desperately looking for a friendly, comfortable place to go to on a Friday evening and while there are some nice pubs in MK, not many of them champion the diversity of the local beer scene.
“We are keen to share the traditional German concept: In German beer culture, a Biergarten is a comfortable, friendly space where you can spend time on your own or with friends and family alike.
“It’s a place where you meet strangers for a chat and watch the world go by.”
she continued: “We are very happy about the brilliant space we have found for the shop.
“We are very lucky to be residents in the beautiful Victorian tram shed of Wolverton Park where Wolverton and its community are only a few walking minutes away.
“It’s been a fantastic journey to transform an old office into our vision of The Biergarten.
“Over 20 different people have contributed time and skills resulting in a truly wonderful and unique pub and shop space.”
The Biergarten focuses primarily on local, German, Yorkshire and London ales but also serves a selection of cider and wine, with soft drinks also available.
