A former betting shop located in Cross Hills was recently converted into a new micropub named Gallagher’s Ale House.
Opened by couple Steve Banks and Janet Langton, who also own the CAMRA award winning ‘The Beer Engine‘ micropub in Skipton, the new sister pub has the same ethos of The Beer Engine, with no television or music.
Speaking previously about the name of the new pub, Janet said: “That’s due to the fact that the premises belongs to the Gallagher family and it was originally a betting shop that was run by Mr Gallagher who has passed away, his sons now own it, a mark of respect really.”
We wish Steve & Janet all the best with their second micropub venture.
