Chichester should soon be celebrating as a new micropub is set to open at 150 St Pancras. Chichester District Council’s licensing committee gave the green light for the micropub – ‘The Old Antique Brewery’ back in November.
Councillors granted the micropub a license to serve customers from 10am-12:30am everyday.
Lawrence Keen, Director of Antique Brewery Ltd, said: “The micro pub will offer real ales, wines and ciders
“The target audience and expected customer base will probably be 40+ with an average age of around 55.
“That said, real ale and craft beers are growing in popularity and the pub would welcome a younger age group as long as the behaviour is in keeping the micro-pub ethos.”
He continued: “In short, the demographic is not one of anti-social yobs.
“The absence of games machines, music and televisions for sporting events will help to avoid attracting large crowds of young people.”
