The Chequers micropub has been named as the best in East Yorkshire by CAMRA, only opening 20 months prior to the title this little pub seems to be building a high reputation for itself as Chequers was also featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.
Landlord Ian Allott said: “We have only been open about 20 months.
“To get into the Camra Good Beer Guide at the first opportunity was great, but to get this is just the icing on the cake.
“It shows the concepts we use go down really well with real ale and cider drinkers in East Yorkshire.
“We focus on working with local micro-breweries, but we also bring the best of breweries from all over the country.
“We promote conversation – people come in for a chat as much as a beer.
“We look forward to continuing to support our local breweries and serving our customers throughout the next year and for years to come.”
Chequers micro pub is closed on Mondays and open from 12:00 – 22:00 Tuesday – Sunday. Serving real ale, real cider, perry, wine & providing real conversation, all within a TV free environment.
