Last week, Polly Hadman opened the doors of the new Saxon Tavern micropub for the first time, in the small Northamptonshire village, Earls Barton.
Converting the one room pub took Polly, along with her family, 27 days to fully refurbish, offering a cosy atmosphere and a community feel.
She said: “I have always lived in Earls Barton so it’s the perfect spot for me to open a pub.
“I wanted the pub to have a community feel, where it’s comfortable for my customers to enjoy themselves.
“It’s been absolutley chaos, we have worked straight through from opening to 10.30pm every night, which is great.”
She continued: “I’m thinking about hosting Macmillan coffee mornings soon.”
The micropub is named after the Saxton tower, which is attached to the church within the village. The micropub itself can be found at 25 The Square, Earls Barton, NN6 ONA.
