Plans were recently submitted to High Peak Borough Council, in hopes of converting a former estate agents located on Market Street in Chapel-en-le-Frith into the towns first micro pub.
Since the plans have been submitted, the council have received two letters of support for the proposal which said:
“Micro pubs are a refreshing change to the traditional pub, they are free to source their ale with no restrictions and can use local breweries, which in turn keeps the local economy growing. “There is a big following for this type of establishment which will definitely bring in business from out of town like me, all in all a very good idea.”
While the other said: “A micro pub would be well-suited to Chapel Market Place, as the first of its type for the town. “It’s refreshing to hear of a new business of this type, instead of yet another pub closure.”
